EU-Whistleblower Directive
The European Parliament passed the Directive on the protection of whistleblowers (2019/1937) on 07.10.2019. According to the Directive, companies must essentially adapt to the following innovations:
1. Obligation to establish a whistleblower system
In the future, companies with more than 50 employees will be obliged to set up a reporting system for receiving information ("whistleblower system").
